About the First Solicitation of Entities for the “Project of Decommissioning and Contaminated Water Management” in the FY2014 Supplementary Budget [Released on March 10, 2015, Updated on April 4, 2016]

The Mitsubishi Research Institute, Inc. is now executing the tasks of the Project Management Office for the “Project of Decommissioning and Contaminated Water Management” in the FY2014 Supplementary Budget on behalf of the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy.
Now we are pleased to announce the solicitation of the subsidized project operating entities for “Project of Decommissioning and Contaminated Water Management” in the FY2014 Supplementary Budget.

(1) Outline of the Project

This project aims at supporting the technology development for decommissioning and contaminated water management measures, implementing those measures smoothly and improving the level of science technology in Japan. For the details of subsidy targeted projects, please see the application guideline of each project.

(2) Application Requirements

The applicants can be private organizations, etc. which fulfill the project requirements. For the details, please see the application guideline for each project.

(3) Subsidy Targeted Expenses

The targeted expenses for the subsidy are labor cost, raw materials cost, consumables, design, manufacture and processing cost, facility and equipment cost, goods procurement cost, research cost, outsourcing cost, travel cost, rewards, rent and depreciation costs and other required costs for the project. For the details, please see the application guideline of each project.

(4) Subsidy Rate and Amount

(5) Period of Project

Please see the application guideline of each project. In addition, object for subsidized expenses are the expenses which ordered after the grant decision date and completed payment only during the project period.

(6) Period of Solicitation

From Tuesday, March 10 to Wednesday, March 25, 2015 (the reception will be closed at 10:00am sharp.)

Please prepare the application documents carefully as incomplete paperwork may cause delay in the decision to grant the subsidy. If the subsidy application amount reaches the budgeted amount, subsequent applications may be canceled even within the solicitation period.

    Please apply for the information session by e-mail (hairo26-1st-ml@mri.co.jp). The deadline is at 10:00 on Monday, March 16.
    Please title e-mail subject as “Registration for Information Session of the Project of Decommissioning and Contaminated Water Management in the FY2014 Supplementary Budget (please, write the application project theme which you apply)” and write your “company name”, “name of attendees (with Furigana)”, “Job Title (Department)”, “phone number”, number of attendees in the body of e-mail. (Please note that we may limit the number of attendees, depending on the seating capacity of the conference room.)
(8) How to Apply

Please submit the documents after reading carefully application guidelines and subsidy grant regulations, fill out necessary information in the application form. 15 copies are required. Also, please submit CD-R file, containing electronic version of the documents.

  • Please confirm that no materials are missing and submit the application documents by bringing them or sending us by post to the address below. Please label as “Project of Decommissioning and Contaminated Water Management (Application Project Theme)” Grant Subsidy application is enclosed in the letter.
  • Applications are not accepted by e-mail or by FAX.
  • Submissions after the deadline will not be accepted. Please take into account for delivery delays.
  • You may encrypt the electronic version of the document (set the password). Then, please inform the secretariat about the password by e-mail.

  • For those who submitted the application form, you will be required to present to the Review and Evaluation Committee for the Project of Decommissioning and Contaminated Management, which will be held at the head office meeting room (planning), within 1 week after the application deadline.
    Those who are planning to submit the application, please contact us by email (hairo26-1st-ml@mri.co.jp) till 10am on March 25(Wednesday), 2015.

    We will contact you via email about the presentation schedule, after setting up the admission procedures and presentation order around 25th March.
(9) Determination of Subsidized Project Operating Entities
  • To decide the grant of subsidy to the applicants, the third parties’ review committee for the Project of Decommissioning and Contaminated Management will be held to examine the submitted documents. Then we determine the subsidized operating entities whose proposal has been deemed to be appropriate for the grant of subsidy.
  • We announce the adopted entities on (the Web site of Management Office for the Project of Decommissioning and Contaminated Water Management) and also address the adopted entities directly.
