The Mitsubishi Research Institute, Inc. is now executing the tasks of the Project Management Office for the “Project of Decommissioning and Contaminated Water Management” on behalf of the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy. Now we are pleased to announce the solicitation of the subsidized project operating entities for “Project of Decommissioning and Contaminated Water Management.”

(1) Outline of Project

This project aims at supporting the technology development for decommissioning and contaminated water management measures at TEPCO’s Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station, implementing those measures smoothly and improving the level of science technology in Japan. (2) Application Requirements

The applicants shall be private organizations, etc. which fulfill the project requirements. For the details, please see the application guideline for the project.

(3) Subsidy Targeted Expenses

The targeted expenses for the subsidy are labor cost, raw materials cost, consumables, design, manufacture and processing cost, facility and equipment cost, goods procurement cost, research cost, outsourcing cost, travel cost, rewards, rent and depreciation costs and other required cost for the project.     Please apply for the information session by email (hairo27-1st-ml@mri.co.jp). The deadline is 10:00 on Wednesday, March 16.
    Please title the email subject as “Registration for Information Session of the Project of Decommissioning and Contaminated Water Management” and include the “corporate or organization name,” “name of the attendee,” “department,” “phone number,” “fax number,” and “email address” in the main text. Please note that we may limit the number of attendees, depending on the seating capacity of the conference room.
  • As a general rule, the information session will be held in Japanese. If any of the entities needs an interpretation to another language, please arrange for an interpreter by the entity’s own responsibility (at its own expense).

(9) Determination of Subsidized Project Operating Entities
  • To decide the grant of subsidy to the applicants, the third parties’ review committee for the Project of Decommissioning and Contaminated Management will be held to examine the submitted documents. Then we determine the subsidized operating entities whose proposal has been deemed to be appropriate for the grant of subsidy.
  • We announce the adopted entities on (the Web site of Management Office for the Project of Decommissioning and Contaminated Water Management)and also address the adopted entities directly.
