Aims and Scope

“Mitsubishi Research Institute, Inc. (MRI)”, which was selected by ANRE as the “Management Office for the Project of Decommissioning and Contaminated Water Management” has held the workshop for R&D project of Innovative Approach for Fuel Debris Retrieval jointly with “International Research Institute for Nuclear Decommissioning (IRID)”.
IRID has been entrusted by Agency for Natural Resources and Energy (ANRE) with technical investigation on Innovative Approach for Fuel Debris Retrieval since last year, and conducted Request for Information (RFI) to collect information on the design of Innovative Approach for Fuel Debris Retrieval and its necessary technology from wide range of organization from the industry to academic institutions to government agencies.
In this workshop, we have explained the results of RFI and the way forward for RFP (Request for Proposal) which is scheduled to be announced in mid-June.
